Concept and Production
Serotiny is a short film I created in 15 weeks and completed in December 2013. I wanted to develop an experimental narrative exploring the coexistence of pain and healing using the imagery of plants which can only bloom after a forest fire. The primary inspiration for the film came from my experience living in the Newtown CT community after December 14, 2012, and is dedicated to Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Serotiny is the second animated film I have created using Maya, with compositing and special effects done in After Effects.
